The Transition from True Value to a New Distributor
A New Chapter for Lancaster’s Favorite Local Hardware Store
New lighting, refreshed signage, and products shifting in the aisles. If you’ve stopped by our hardware store recently, you’ve probably noticed some exciting updates. Formerly a True Value hardware store, we’ve served Lancaster, PA by offering a broad assortment of home improvement supplies and hardware products for 48 years. Following recent changes in True Value’s corporate structure, we took the opportunity to evaluate our hardware distribution and make improvements. Ultimately, we made the decision to switch our primary distributor to improve both.
We’re excited to be working with Emery Jensen, a national distributor that boasts brands you love from us, like Weber, Dewalt, Diablo, and more. Emery Jensen proudly claims to have the greatest inventory, delivered with 99% accuracy, all at the lowest cost, allowing us to bring you the best offers on your everyday and project-based needs.

We’ve heard our customers’ feedback and will be preserving all the items they love, while also bringing in cool new items from Emery Jensen. Yes, we’ll still have your lawn and garden supplies, tools, hardware, and Yeti cups. But now we can bring it all to you in a better way.”

What This Means for You
There will be some products that shift over to different brands, as some brands like GreenThumb and GE came exclusively from True Value, but for customers like you, the changes won’t feel drastic. If you are looking for something and can’t find it, our friendly staff will still be there to lend a helping hand.

And our updates don’t stop there. As part of this improvement effort, we took a closer look at our paint department too. We’d been selling True Value’s paint line, EasyCare, which was also impacted by the firm’s acquisition. Taking a step back, we wondered how we could improve in this area. That’s how our brand new Benjamin Moore department was born. We stock all of their interior and exterior paints and stains, bringing you the best in the game
