Position Summary

GR Mitchell’s Project Managers are responsible for overseeing all turnkey construction projects completed by the subcontractors of Prime Builder Services, GRM’s partner company. This role acts as site superintendent and liaison between our customers and the construction crews that are most often tasked with; framing packages, finish carpentry, kitchen/bath installation, etc.

The ability to read and analyze blueprints and other building diagrams is a requirement for this role. 5 years of construction experience, specifically related to lumber/wood framed construction, is required. Working knowledge of current building code, OSHA safety protocols, and experience communicating directly with project owners/customers is beneficial to performing this role. Some commercial construction site management experience is preferred.

Duties & Responsibilities

This role provides site management of rough framing process, window and door installation, trim installation, kitchen and bath installation, etc
Communicate directly with subcontractors and ensure each is provided with all necessary information to complete turnkey projects
Collaborate with GR Mitchell outside sales team, internal sales support, estimators, logistics manager, and delivery team to ensure all necessary materials are ordered properly and delivered as intended
Act as the point of contact for customer/project owner in coordination with appropriate GRM outside sales person
Audit performance of subcontractors; Requires physical presence at jobsites as well as use of management software (Ex. ProCore)
Occasional need to calculate estimates, prepare material takeoffs, operate heavy machinery, and take lead on various carpentry-related tasks
